Ophelia – mural in Opole, Poland

Street Art
Ophelia

A mural inspired by J. E. Millais’ classic painting of Ophelia from Shakespeare’s Hamlet. This is a very poetic representation of death in art, and we adapt this idea to show the problem of poisoned Oder river that recently faced an environmental catastrophe.

It was awesome experience to paint in and for one of our hometowns and we would like to thank to our friends, amazing artists Patrycja and Michał from Grupa Murki for making this project possible! Big thanks Opolskie Lamy for the support. It was so nice to see that the people from the neighbourhood were curious and happy about the transformation of the wall. Dziękujemy!
